Why doesn't the Timer automatically start once the temperature is reached?
It is important to know that the timer does not automatically start once the temperature is reached, but only after pressing the ‘Start/Stop’ button. That button works in the following manner:
- First press – starts the pump and heater
- Second press – starts the timer
- Third press – stops the timer, heater, and pump.
This design is to promote the sous vide cooking best practice of placing the food into the water bath once the temperature is reached and starting the timer at that point.
